The Single Entry Point (SEP) is a concept for lightning protection zones
. In contrast to known lightning protection systems with external and internal lightning protection, with the Single Entry Point all incoming and outgoing lines of a building or room are combined at one point, namely the Single Entry Point. At the SEP point, the telephone cables, antenna cables, the lines from the low-voltage network and the data lines are brought together and protected against overvoltage. The Single Entry Point is connected to the earth electrode via the equipotential bonding rail.
