Single Date Rate(SDR) technology is a transfer technique for data transfer.

The Single Date Rate (SDR) technique is used between the central processing unit ( CPU) and the main memory( RAM), but also in the media-independentEthernet interfaces, the Media Independent Interfaces( MII), RMII and GMII.

In principle, SDR technology uses one edge of the clock pulse to transfer a data packet over the Front Side Bus( FSB) and synchronize the read-in process and the read-out process. In contrast to the SDR technique, Double Date Rate( DDR) uses both the rising and the falling edge of the clock signal.
