shared information and data model (NGOSS) (SID)
The New Generation Operations Systems and Software(NGOSS) is a framework developed by the TM Forum (Telemanagement) for optimizing business processes between network operators, Internet service providers and telecommunications service providers.
The model for NGOSS is a framework consisting of four layers, each of which is a central framework.
The top level is formed by the Enhanced Telecom Operations Map( eTOM), and the one below that is the Information Framework, the Shared Information and Data Model( SID). The application processes executed in eTOM access this information and data model. Since the different business activities of providers, services, resources, customers, etc. work with different types of data, data transformations for information exchange take place in the Shared Information and Data Model (SID).
