service data adaptation protocol (5G) (SDAP)

In the5th generation mobile networks(5GNR), the quality of service is managed via the QoS flow. For this purpose, the sublayer for the Service Data Adaptation Protocol(SDAP) has been inserted in the layer model of the air interface; both on the subscriber device side and the node side, in this case the Next-Generation NodeB( gNB).

The SDAP layer is the layer on which the gNodeB is connected to the core network of 5G.
