service control function (IN) (SCF)

Service Control Function (SCF) are service control functions in intelligent networks( IN). They are used to control the functional entities ( FE) so that they can be provided with intelligent services to the intelligent network.

The goal of the Service Control Functions is to provide intelligent services.

Along with the Service Switching Function( SSF), the Service Control Function is a central functional block of Customized Applications for Mobile Enhanced Logic( CAMEL). The protocol for the transfer between the two function blocks is the CAMEL Applications Part ( CAP).
