semipermanent connection

The semi-permanent connection (SPV) was a connection type of the national ISDN.

The semi-permanent connection was a pre-ordered permanent dial-up connection that was provided on a case-by-case basis. The connection setup authorization was stored in the local exchange and was limited to predefined ISDN lines. The semi-permanent connection was a Group 3 fixed connection for 64 kbit/s digital ISDN lines. This type of connection is not offered in Euro-ISDN.
