seminconductor test consortium (STC)

The Seminconductor Test Consortium(STC) is a consortium consisting of about 100 member companies of the measurement and test technology, semiconductor and equipment technology with the aim to extend the standardization in the field of semiconductor test systems. Among the well-known member companies of the consortium, founded in 2003, are Intel, Motorola, Advantest.

The work of the STC consortium is about the improvement and standardization of open test system architectures. In this context, the consortium has developed the Open Semiconductor Test Architecture (OpenStar), a modular concept whose individual components can be developed by different companies. Further topics of the STC consortium are the interfaces to peripheral devices such as handlers.
