secure access service edge (SASE)

Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) is a cloud architecture in which network functions and Security as a Service( SaaS) are provided as an aggregated cloud service.

In traditional networks, security aspects focus on network perimeters and security policies against any threats. In new, distributed network structures, these traditional approaches have become less effective. Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), a security software, enables organizations to monitor and manage their network and security tools from a central management console. It doesn't matter where the network components are located, whether at the edge or the endpoint. With this concept, before traffic is transmitted to the Internet or to SASE clients, it isinspected at the point of presence( PoP), not in the data center.

The SASE concept defines a virtual data center with decentralized data storage distributed across several locations in the network for the storage of corporate data.
