Robotics as a Service(RaaS) is a business model in which a robot manufacturer offers its hardware, software and services for rent or lease instead of buying them.

Robotics as a Service is based on Software as a Service( SaaS) and is increasingly being operated in the construction and utility industries. The RaaS concept means that the user has no capital costs( CapEx), only operating costs( OpEx) for lease payments. In addition, the user can familiarize himself with the use of robots in order to purchase his own robots at a later date.
