retweet (Twitter) (RT)

A retweet(RT) is the forwarding function in the Twitter service. With the retweet, received tweets can be forwarded to your own followers.

By retweeting, the received tweet is fed to a larger group of followers. This effect can multiply as many participants of Twitter retweet the received tweet to acquaintances and friends.

In a retweet, the original information cannot be changed; however, it can be provided with a comment of one's own. The retweet is sent by pressing the retweet button. Received and commented retweets can be answered by the participant and reach the author of the comment. Only if the original author is named in the comment with his username, he will also receive the reply. Retweets can be undone by pressing the retweet button again.
