remailer

Remailers are tools from websites that anonymize email addresses, which is why the emails are also called anonymous emails.

The aim of remailers is to prevent the e-mail recipient from drawing any conclusions about the e-mail sender. For this purpose, the remailer replaces the name and host information of the e-mail address with pseudonyms. As a result, the received e-mail address cannot be used for other purposes, such as unsolicited commercial e-mails( UCE), for advertising mails and for spams.

Since the remailer manages the mail addresses, only it knows the anonymized mail addresses. The anonymization or pseudonymization of e-mail addresses also serves to protect the private sphere.
