record separator (RS)

The information separ ator( IS), Record Separator(RS), from the ASCII character set is used for the logical separation of messages.

The special meaning for en Record Separator is to be defined separately for the respective application. The RS control character can be used to separate a record or a subgroup. The control character for the Record Separator (RS) has the hexadecimal code 0x1e (30d).
