radio access technology (LTE-B) (RAT)
Radio Access Technology (RAT) is the underlying physical access technology for radio-based communication networks.
Modern smartphones, tablets and notebooks work with different radio-based communication methods such as the 3rd generation( 3G), 4G and 5G mobile networks as well as various 802.11 radio LANs, WiFi, Bluetooth and with near field communication. All these techniques require different access methods based on radio access technology.
