quasi error free (DVB, MPEG) (QEF)

The Quasi Error Free (QEF) status is used in the context of DigitalVideoBroadcasting(DVB) for a quasi error free reception.

The QEF value defines a threshold value that indicates whether the system is working or not. The QEF value is specified as a maximum of one non-correctable error per hour at the input of an MPEG-2 decoder. The bit error rate( BER) is about `10^-10` to `10^-11`.
