quad play
Triple play refers to three services that are transmitted over broadband access networks using the IP protocol: Telephone, television and Internet.
The term Quad-Play extends this service offering to include a fourth service, mobile communications. With Quad-Play, all four services are transmitted via the Internet protocol.
The inclusion of mobility services can be done through access points ofWLANs that are directly connected to the infrastructure networks of quadruple-play providers. Another approach is for providers to connect their mobile networks to their infrastructure.
