quad in-line (package) (QUIL)

Quad Inline (QUIL) is a square package for logics. Since it was often not possible to realize the number of connection contacts with the Dual Inline Package( DIL) in the 90s, the QUIL package was developed. It is similar in design to the DIL package, but the connections are in double rows.

As early as the 1990s, development moved towards the chip carrier package, which is available in a wide variety of designs.
