pulse pause coding (PPC)

Pulse Pause Coding(PPC) is a relatively simple coding method used in RFID.

Pulse pause coding

In pulse pause coding, the pauses between two pulses are coded: a pause of length "t" corresponds to a binary "1", twice the duration of "2t" to a binary "0". During the pulse pause, the pulse amplitude corresponds to the voltage value of the pulse axis.

PPC coding is used for transmission between the RFID reader and the transponder, whereby the transponder gains energy from the inductive field during data transmission.
