pulse frequency (PF)

The pulse frequency( PF) is the number of repeating pulses in a given unit of time. per second.

For periodic pulse sequences, the pulse frequency is calculated from the reciprocal of the time interval between the pulses, i.e. their period duration. For example, if the pulse duration, which is determined by the time interval between two equal reference points such as the rising edge of the first and the following pulse, is 1 µs, then the reciprocal, the pulse frequency, is 1 MHz. The pulse frequency is not dependent on the pulse width( PW).
