Call centers use various methods to prepare their call agents for a consultation or sales call with as little time as possible. One method is predictive dialing, others are progressive dialing and preview dialing.
Progressive dialing differs from predictive dialing in that the call agent is shown the contact information of the other party on a display before the call. He can check this information and prepare for the call before the dialer establishes the connection. As with predictive dialing, the call agent does not waste time manually entering numbers.
Like Predictive Dialing, Progressive Dialer detects incorrect connections to fax machines, voicemail boxes or answering machines.
