Primary data is data obtained through surveys, research, observations and interviews, but not yet published. They have a virgin character.

Primary data can be collected by researchers or interviewers, or by those who conduct their own research. The collected data are primary data as long as no similar research has taken place and they have not been used elsewhere. Otherwise, primary data becomes secondary data. Primary data is created for an investor or a company for a specific purpose. At the data quality is optimal and beyond doubt.
