powersum NEXT (PSNEXT)
The Powersum NEXT (PSNEXT) forms the power sum of the near-end crosstalk.
The PSNEXT value is the sum of all interfering signals that are coupled into a conductor pair. PSNEXT is very close to the actual operation when data is transmitted over all pairs of conductors. This value is especially important for four- and higher-pair balanced cables. For two-pair cables, PSNEXT corresponds to Near End Crosstalk (NEXT); for higher numbers of conductor pairs, the differences become larger and larger as the noise signals from multiple conductor pairs are interspersed in a conductor pair.
