polymer thick film pastes (PTF)

Polymer Thick Film Pastes (PTF) are conductive pastes, also silver inks at low viscosity, which are used for coating on printed circuit boards and in printed electronics.

PTF pastes consist of minute metallic or organic particles incorporated into a paste material. PTF pastes are used to shield electromagnetic fields, for contacting, as resistor pastes and to improve electrical and thermal conductivity as thermalconductivepastes. Polymer Thick Film Pastes are available with very small particles of copper, silver or carbon.

For example, PTF pastes with carbon and silver particles are used to improve contacting, solderable copper-based pastes are used for shielding against electromagnetic interference( EMI), and carbon-based PTF pastes are used as resistor pastes.
