poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA)

Polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), known as Plexiglas, is an organic polymer used in optical transmission media and in electronic components and devices.

Polymethyl methacrylate is used, among other things, as a light-conducting fiber in polymer fibers, PMMA-POF, and also as a dielectric in organic field-effect transistors, Organic OFET, and in Organic Thin Film Transistors( OTFT). In addition, scratch-resistant polymethyl methacrylate is used as a substrate and front panel of touchscreens and multi-touchscreens. The indium tin oxide( ITO) coated film is bonded to this carrier material.
