plastic OLED (POLED)
Classic OLEDs use a substrate made of glass on which the layers are deposited. Since glass is solid and rigid, it cannot be adapted to desired form factors. For this reason, POLEDs use a more flexible plastic substrate that allows a thinner structure and is flexible.
The plastic used is polyethylene terephthalate( PET) or polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) and plastics for higher manufacturing temperatures.
