physical delivery access unit (PDAU)

The Physical Delivery Access Unit (PDAU) is an application process in X.400 systems standardized by the International Telecommunication Union ( ITU). The PDAU unit enables the Message Transfer System ( MTS) to deliver a message by letter service to all authorized recipients in the MHS system.
