# phase vector (phasor)

The term phasor is derived from phase vector and is a complex value representing the amplitude, frequency and phase of a sinusoidal signal

.

Phasors show the dependencies of the three independent factors, from which the frequency can be excluded, as it usually relates to both the amplitude and the phase. This reduces the model to the amplitude and the phase and shows their interdependence. The angle of the phasor reflects the phase angle, the length of the phasor its amplitude.
