The Originating Point Code(OPC) is a point code( PC) in SS7 networks and part of the routing label in the SS7 signaling message.

The Originating Point Code identifies the originating point of the signaling message, the sending station.

It is not used to identify the caller, but identifies the exchange to which the caller is connected. The OPC address comprises 14 bits, with which 16,348 network addresses can be represented. The Destination Point Code( DPC) identifies the exchange of the destination station.
