originate mode

Originate Mode is a modem operating mode. In this mode, the modem selects one of two frequency bands for transmission.

If a call is made in Originate Mode, the called party answers in Answer Mode. These two modes allow simultaneous transmission and reception in duplex mode. With the operating modes Originate Mode and Answer Mode the frequency band is determined between the modems in which the selected modulation method can be used.
