optical code division multiplexing (OCDM)

In optical code division multiplexing (OCDM), the individual channels are identified by binary sequences that are coded in the time or frequency domain before transmission. Information of a specific channel is provided with the corresponding channel coding on the transmitter side before multiplexing and decoded again on the receiver side after demultiplexing.
