Operations Research(OR) is a strategic mathematical decision technique for for the analysis of complex problems.

The fields of application of Operations Research, which originated in strategic warfare, include linear optimization, simulation, business research or dynamic programming.

Operations Research works with models that are modeled on real problems. Based on these models, algorithms are developed to solve the problems. With the algorithms, the influencing factors are run through and changed until the optimal solution is found. There are many application programs for the OR technique.
