operation and maintenance subsystem (OMSS)

The maintenance and operational functions of a GSM network are performed by the OMSS subsystem(Operation and Maintenance Subsystem). The OMSS system is responsible for configuring the network, setting up subscribers and subscriber authorisation, blocking subscribers and devices, charging and traffic flow control, and maintaining the network components.
