open container format (EPUB) (OCF)

The Open Container Format(OCF) is one of three standardized formats for Electronic Publications( EPUB).

The OCF container format is a ZIP-based standard that defines the arrangement and storage of data in a file. The OCF specifications define the standard mechanisms by which all components of an electronic publication can be combined into a single archive for transmission and archiving.

The other two formats are the Open Publication Structure( OPS) and the Open Packaging Format( OPF).
