open DeviceNet vendor association (automation) (ODVA)

Open DeviceNet Vendor Association (ODVA) is the association for all DeviceNet users, it consists of almost 300 members worldwide.

The organization is concerned with the further development and dissemination of this open standardized fieldbus, which is used primarily in the USA and Asia, but also in Europe. A major aspect of ODVA activities is the development and dissemination of the Common Industrial Protocol( CIP) and other protocols based on the CIP protocol.

Every user can use the DeviceNet technology, but also participate in the further development in Special Interest Groups( SIG). In addition, ODVA is active in other standardization bodies and industry consortia.
