on the fly mode

On-the-Fly is a burning process for compact discs( CD) and DVDs. In this process, the data is written directly from the hard disk or other storage medium, where it is stored as an image file, to the CD/ DVD.

On-the-Fly operation works without any intermediate steps between the source media, which can be the hard disk, and the target media, such as the compact disc or DVD, and takes into account the size, amount, and location of the data to be written during burning.

The term on-the-fly operation is also used in digital cameras and web pages. In the case of digital cameras, this is a mode in which the image data is loaded directly from the image sensor into the main memory. In the case of web pages, on-the-fly operation refers to the dynamic insertion of text, graphics or photos triggered by user input.
