office open XML (.NET) (OOXML)

Office Open XML (OOXML) is a document description language for Office documents developed by Microsoft and standardized by the European Computer Manufacturers Association ( ECMA) and by the International Standards Organization( ISO) as ISO 29500.

OOXML supports office applications through data exchange and file sharing. It is an open XML-based file format used in Office 2007. The format is composed of containers consisting of individual documents containing text, tables, formulas, presentation graphics and drawings in their respective markup languages.
