object code

An object code is an intermediate code that is produced as an intermediate result during compilation. It is a source code translated into machine code, which is normally not executable. Object codes are formed from the source codes of the compilers and linked to the libraries via linkers. In the case of source codes, one speaks of the before version and in the case of object codes of the after version, which refers to the compiled computer program.
