object code

An object code is an intermediate code that is produced as an intermediate result during compilation. It is a source code translated into machine code, which is normally not executable. Object codes are formed from the source codes of the compilers and connected over Linker with the libraries. With source codes one speaks of the before version and with the object codes of the after version, which refers to the compiled computer program.
