network operations (NetOps)

NetOps stands for Network Operations. It is one of several management strategies that enable organizations to quickly solve new network operations tasks and eliminate manual intervention as much as possible.

NetOps relies on automation to deploy and manage network infrastructure in a way that makes proven configuration policies more consistent, repeatable, and performance-enhancing. Instead of manual configuration, which quickly reaches its limits for large networks, configuration is scaled and performed automatically.

Network analysis tools are built into NetOpsto detect, analyze and automatically correct bottlenecks. Another networking concept built into NetOps is intent-based networking( IBN), in which the network automatically translates the user's administrative intent into the network configuration. IBN networking relies on automation.
