multislot packet radio (Tetra) (MPD)

The term Multislot Packet Radio(MPR) is used as packet-oriented data transmission in Tetra networks. MPR technology involves channel bundling in which several traffic channels are combined for IP communication to increase the data rate. MPR technology can only be implemented in Tetra if certain technical and organizational requirements are met. This applies equally to the network infrastructure and to the mobile terminals( MT).
