multisession CD

A multisession CD consists of several sessions. These compact discs (CDs) are written in track-at-once mode, and only after the last session has been burned are the tables of contents ( TOC) of the various sessions linked together and written to the lead-in. Within a new session it is possible to refer to old data from a previous session. The classic example of a multi-session CD is the photo CD.
