multirate ISDN
The parallel switching of several B channels for the purpose of increasing the transmission rate is known as multirate ISDN.
The individual B channels are switched via different connection paths and synchronized again at the receiver. The connections created in this way have a multiple of the ISDN transmission rate of 64 kbit/s.
Multirate ISDN uses multirate circuit switching( MRCS) and can thus bundle several B channels into a single broadband channel.
