multiple input single output (WLAN) (MISO)

Multi-antenna systems are divided into those that work with several transmitting antennas and those that work with several receiving antennas. Multiple Input Single Output (MISO) belongs to the latter and works with several receiving antennas.

Multiple antenna systems

Like SIMO, MISO works with beamforming, where the beam is emitted in the direction of the user. Directional beamforming has its limitations when users are close to each other and the main beam can be kept sufficiently selective.

The MISO technique has advantages in suppressing interference and increases the reception level.
