multi-protocol label switching - transport profile (MPLS-TP)

Multi-Protocol Label Switching, Transport Profile(MPLS- TP) is a further development of IP-based MPLS, IP/MPLS. It operates connection-oriented and can establish bidirectional Label Switched Paths( LSP). Operation, Administration, and Maintenance( OAM) with control of the transport paths, is performed via the network management system, which also supports quality of service agreements( SLA) for the end-to-end connections.
