mobile terminated call (mobile communications) (MTC)

Mobile Terminated Call (MTC) refers to telephone connections whose end point is a mobile terminal, for example a cell phone. It is irrelevant whether the connection was established from a telephone in the fixed network or from another mobile device. The decisive factor is that the mobile device forms the connection termination.

In the reverse case, when the mobile device establishes the connection, this is referred to as mobile originated( MO).
