mobile subscriber identification number (mobile communications) (MSIN)
The MSIN number (Mobile Subscriber Identification Number) uniquely identifies each subscriber in a GSM network.
The MSIN number usually has 10 digits and is part of the International Mobile Subscriber Identity( IMSI) and the National Mobile Subscriber Identity( NMSI).
In the D1 network, the first two digits of the MSIN number identify the location directory in which the subscriber is registered.
