Mobile InformationManagement(MIM) or Mobile Content Management( MCM) is a device-independent security technology of Enterprise Mobility Management( EMM) for the protection of corporate information and the protection of the same against unauthorized access, loss or manipulation.

Mobile Information Management (MIM) is about the storage and management of sensitive, personal, and business-critical data used in Bring Your Own Device( ByoD) mobile operations when using personal smartphones and tablets. The MIM concept aims to secure data and information that can only be accessed with appropriate authentication. It uses a secure sandbox through which sensitive data can only be accessed with approved application programs. In addition to MIM technology, the EMM concept also uses MDM technology for mobile device management (MDM), MAM technology for mobile application management (MAM) and end device security management.
