Apps or mobile apps are software applications that are developed specifically for smartphones or tablets and provide the user with programming support. Mobile apps focus exclusively on the needs of smartphone users and the possibilities that smartphones offer.
Mobile apps are available in mobile app stores. There they can be purchased free of charge or for a fee and are available for download to smartphones. They must be newly implemented for each smartphone operating system. Unlike mobile apps, which must first be downloaded to the smartphone, progressive web apps( PWA) are websites that have comparable behavior to mobile apps, but are used directly.
If the smartphone is equipped with satellite navigation, the apps that can be used can determine distances and altitude meters and determine acceleration moments and travel times from the distances traveled.
