minimum cell rate (ATM) (MCR)

The Minimum Cell Rate (MCR) is an ABR service parameter ofATM.

The MCR rate specifies the minimum cell transmission rate that the network provides to the user. The Allowed Cell Rate( ACR) is higher than the Minimum Cell Rate. It is entered in a data field in an RM (Resource Management) cell. The Explicit Rate ( ER) value can be used as the smallest specified value.
