The MCA bus works as a system bus and has a separate controller with a frequency of 10 MHz, a data transfer rate of 20 MB/s and a 32-bit bus slot with 202 contacts. The bus is divided into several sections for 32 bit, 16 bit, 8 bit and video extension. The data transfer rateis 20 Mbit/s. It is incompatible with the ISA bus.
