Metal reinforced printed circuit boards (MBPCB or MCPCB) consist of a base plate made of aluminium to which crystalline aluminium oxide is applied, which provides good insulation and heat dissipation. The thickness of the nanoceramic layer is between 10 µm and 30 µm and depends on insulation and heat dissipation requirements. The dielectric strength at a layer thickness of 10 µm is 500 V, the heat dissipation is between 1.0 and 4.0 W/mK depending on the technology.
