message transfer service element (MTSE)

A Message Transfer Service Element (MTSE) is an MHS-specific Application Service Element ( ASE) used in X.400. MTSE provides the functionality for creating relationships and transferring messages and test reports between the Message Transfer Agent ( MTA).
